Right Time Group Continues to Grow and Evolve

Two most recent additions include 360 Super Techs and The Comfort Group, both on Vancouver Island—Right Time’s 12th and 13th acquisitions.

Right TimeRight Time Group of Companies continues its growth across Canada with two recent acquisitions on Vancouver Island including 360 Super Techs and The Comfort Group—Right Time’s 12th and 13th acquisitions. The HVAC home services group of companies now operates out of 20 locations across Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and B.C. with over 1,000 employees.

The 360 Super Techs business includes 360 Comfort Systems and The Super Plumber. Founded in 2011, 360 Comfort Systems provides residential heating, cooling, and electrical services, while The Super Plumber, established in 2006, provides residential plumbing and drain services to communities between Nanaimo and Victoria. Company co-owners Brody Funk and Reed Gary expect to take 360 Super Techs to the next level as part of Right Time.

The Comfort Group, operating since 2004 and based in Parksville, B.C., serves central Island communities with residential heating, cooling, and indoor air quality services. Denis Stjepanovic and Terry Corsie, co-owners, will continue with the business.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in St. Catharines, Ontario, Right Time is majority-owned by Gryphon Investors, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. Gryphon acquired Right Time in December 2020 from Clairvest Group, a Canadian private equity firm, when Right Time had 10 brands and 11 locations.

Last October Gryphon also acquired Southern HVAC, a collection of 15 home services HVAC brands across FloridaGeorgiaMissouriNorth CarolinaSouth Carolina, and Texas with over 650 employees. At that time is was announced that Southern HVAC and Right Time would be rolled under the umbrella of NAEHS (North American Essential Home Services). The two entities continue to operate independently, retaining their existing brands and management teams, while leveraging the combined scale and scope of the two businesses.

At the same time Ian McKeen was named CEO of NAEHS. McKeen, a dual Canadian and U.S. citizen, was previously president/COO of Service Experts, the residential HVAC and plumbing services group with locations in Canada and the U.S. (owned by Enercare).

In July 2021 Gryphon also entered the HVAC/R wholesale distribution and supply side of the business in the U.S. acquiring Wittichen Supply with locations in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. In mid-February Gryphon also acquired Benoist Brothers Supply Co. in the Midwest (with 13 branch locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee) which now operates as an independent division of the Wittichen Supply Holding Company, but maintains the Benoist brand.
